The History of
the Weeping Radish Brewery
The Weeping
Radish Brewery is North Carolina’s oldest micro
brewery. In production since 1986, the original
brewery was located at the Manteo restaurant. In
2006 we opened the new brewery at our Eco Farm in
Jarvisburg, close to the Cotton Gin in Currituck
County. Brewery Tours are held in season, please
call for times. The self guided tour is open daily
between 11 am till closing.
Weeping Radish
beers have won many awards over the years. The Black
Radish is featured in the Guide to Beer Judging, as
the example of a classic dark lager beer. Our Black
Radish beer has also recently been chosen online as
“One of 50 beers to drink before you die.”

What
is German Reinheitsgebot Beer?
In
Bavaria, beer is still produced in strict accordance with the Purity
Law of 1516 (Reinheitsgebot), which stipulates that only water,
hops, malt and yeast are to be used in the beer making process.
Today, we uphold the same values as these traditional brewers, and
are pleased to provide you with our fresh, handcrafted beers.
